Blood Groove & Kikis' "Harmonic" is one of the final tracks from last year's "Only Silk 04" compilation to witness an unmixed release on our imprint. It's our great pleasure to reveal the full version of this euphoric composition, paired with a brand new interpretation by fellow label veteran Mizar B.
Whenever celebrated Latvian duo Blood Groove & Kikis contribute to our imprint, it's a moment for melodic progressive house zealots around the world to revel in our shared appreciation of the genre. This particular number deserves to be considered one of their finest offerings to date, given the tremendous amount of compositional depth. More specifically, hallucinogenic arpeggios explode out of the gate and are soon followed by a blissful and truly unforgettable lead theme. The soundscape is further decorated by ethereal male vocal oohs and aahs, a final 'harmonic' layer to cement the song's classic status.
Not-so-quietly garnering an esteemed reputation amongst more discriminating electronic music fans, Polish veteran Mizar B offers the one and only remix in the package. Centering on a layered and highly innovative electro-and-tech-meets-prog bassline, Mizar B's remix reveals a moody disposition from its earliest moments, though, the appearance of the main chord progression at the song's quarter turn provides an uplifting counterpoint. There is a lovely (minimalistic) acoustic drum solo in the main breakdown, which evokes a moment of gentle contemplation, if not catharsis, in the listener.
